Total Facial Augmentation

Sharper nose, well-contoured fuller lips and sharper chin are preferred anatomical features for both men and women. As Dermal Fillers have evolved, midface volume restoration and undereye contour enhancement have also become the objective of advanced injectors. The value of injections of Dermal Fillers into the midface and correcting sunken eyes is well documented. For many people, midface augmentation can provide new facial contours and dimensions to bring facial features into better balance.

At IIWAM Aesthetic & Wellness Unit, we have pioneered in developing a unique technique to balance the midface, nose, lip and chin using Dermal Fillers in just few minutes without the need for surgery. The Treatment is customized based on the facial features and proportions. Pain management is also discussed before the procedure. Dermal Fillers are biologically compatible gels that are injected underneath the skin. They are soft, easily moulded and have a natural tissue like consistency over the eyes, nose or lips. The gels, once injected, will be in place for almost a year and is biologically degraded by the body. The gels are safe with almost no risk. There are several Dermal Fillers in the market, with the most popular being Hyaluronic Acid gel. Most Dermal Fillers come prefilled with local anaesthetic agents such as Lidocaine to minimize any discomfort during the procedure.

TREATMENT OUTCOME

The Treatment is customized to suit the facial features and to achieve a natural-looking facial feature.

MIDFACE - The volumizing effects in the midface compartments will help to restore a youthful facial feature and will reduce the sunken and hollowness around the eye.
NOSE - Dermal Fillers can also be used to augment the nose and make it sharper as well as to treat nasal beaks and nasal deviation.
LIP - Dermal Fillers can be used to make the lip more voluminous and well-contoured.
CHIN - Nose augmentation is usually paired with chin augmentation in order to make the chin sharper and to balance the proportions such as the E-Lines, H-Line and Steiner’s Lines.
BROW - Dermal Fillers can also be injected to enhance the brow to give a deep-set and well-defined look for males.
TEMPORAL - Dermal Fillers are injected into the temporal areas to balance the facial proportions.

The augmentation effects set in almost immediately after the injection. The result lasts for 10 to 12 months or even longer depending on the type of Filler used.

ADVERSE EFFECTS

As in any injectable procedure, there are risks of discomfort, bleeding or bruising. Other complication, though rare, includes infection, inflammation and granuloma, all of which can be treated. In rare situations, the Dermal Fillers may compromise the blood supply to the skin, and this may lead to skin necrosis. However, these can be easily reversed if and when needed. These side effects are temporary and will recover with or without medical intervention in few months.

COST

The cost for Total Facial Augmentation ranges from RM 1300 to RM 1500 per ml, depending on the type and amount of Dermal Filler used.
